Clint Black will celebrate over three decades of a successful career with his just-announced 2024 World Tour.

This upcoming stint of shows will commemorate the 35th anniversary of Black’s debut album, Killin’ Time, which spawned the No. 1 Billboard Country song of both 1989 and 1990 for “A Better Man,” and “Nobody’s Home” respectively, as well as chart-toppers “Walkin’ Away” and “Nothing’s News.” These impressive feats ushered Black into the “Class of ’89,” an elite group of country music stars such as Garth Brooks and Alan Jackson who had a pivotal impact on the genre that year.

Playing The Album Start To Finish For The Very First Time

During each night of the tour, fans can expect the Texas-raised country icon to perform his triple-platinum debut album live from start to finish for the first time ever in concert.

“Time flies when you’re…Killin’ Time!” Black shared via press release. “My band and I are very excited to play the album top to bottom.  Revisiting these songs has been inspiring and we can’t wait to hit the road and play it for the fans! Starting at the Ryman will make for a very special send off to all-points North America!”

The set will also showcase many more of his beloved hits that have not been showcased live on stage in 35 years.

“We’ll play some songs at soundcheck and put in stuff like ‘Winding Down’ and ‘Straight From the Factory.’ Two of the guys in my band played on that album, so it’s fun to go back and remember it. Sometimes we had to think, ‘Who played that part?’ and things drift over time, they migrate. We’ve pulled some back to their origins. I think I’m singing these songs better now than I did, but pretty much it’s going to be like the record,” Black told Billboard.

According to a recent press release, Clint Black has also partnered with Sony Music and Vinyl Me Please to reissue a special Killin’ Time vinyl in conjunction with the upcoming tour. The 35th-anniversary edition record comes on 180g Brown Galaxy vinyl with new lacquers cut by Barry Grint at AIR Mastering. Fans can sign up to be notified when pre-orders for the vinyls go live at www.clintblack.com. The vinyls are expected to ship out in May 2024.
